Yes, this scene does look rather relaxed.
What you don't see are all the old roof shingles from the Big and Little Shallow lean-tos, the buckets filled with all manner of tools and screws and nails, several shovels, some pry bars, a few hydraulic jacks, etc. A steady stream of human pack mules had already moved all that stuff back to the waiting armada of canoes beached near the Five Ponds outlet, a mile and half away.
None of the pack mules ventured a guess as to the total weight hauled down the trail. It's likely that no one really wanted to know, but they could all plainly feel the lingering effects of their own loads, and their own miles back and forth on that trail.
Also not visible is the outhouse, no longer wobbly and with a door that now closes, solidly perched over the top of it's brand new "man-height" hole.
What you DO see in this picture is a lean-to completely rescued, save for a bit of staining. New logs, new roof, new foundation, new fascia, and a new lease on life.
Look again, real close, and you just might notice some toothy smiles that come at the end of a hard work day, knowing the job is done.
